Chapter 6 - IMAGINATION
The Workshop Of The Mind

Synthesis is forming new stuff from existing stuff.
Creation is making new original stuff which never
before existed.

God created the universe from pure energy. His Thoughts
became the Word, and the Word became Reality.

I am made in the Likeness of God, and therefore have
the ability to Create.

My Thought Energy, ramped up by Positive Emotion, is
delivered to God of the Universe in the form of prayer.

God of the Universe answers my prayer in several ways,
one of which is INSPIRATION - the Spirit delivering
thoughts in the form of IMAGINATION.

Creative Imagination translates the amassed knowledge
of the Universe into new, unique Reality.

Everything which is possible already exists within the
infinite ether, needing only to be discovered by finite
Mind of Man.

Every MANufactured object I encounter began as
someone’s Imagined Idea.

Some people today have new Ideas about how the World’s
society systems should operate. Their basis is fear,
lack and suspicion. Their greed for short-term gain at
the expense of long-term stability imperils many future
generations.

Our noble ideas are based in joy, abundance and trust.
It is the perpetual battle of good versus evil. Our
ideas must endure…they SHALL endure.

Chapter 5 - SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Personal Experiences Or Observations

Knowledge has no POWER unless organized into a PLAN OF
ACTION.

Dr. Hill presents several ways to acquire Specialized
Knowledge - knowledge needed to achieve SPECIFIC
results in a CHOSEN endeavor.

I believe SPECIALIZED knowledge is best learned from
observation and personal experience - in other words,
doing stuff, PARTICIPATING WITH like-minded people: a
MASTERMIND Group.

Many believe knowledge has no value unless bought with
money - but how do I know the authors of books or the
teachers of courses KNOW what they are talking about?

For example, I could tell You how I got top ranking in
all the search engines in 1994 - but this knowledge
would be useless to You. Google had not yet launched
back then.

I knew a guy who built a tremendous MLM downline in the
1960’s. Since then he’s made a fortune speaking at
events and selling audios and books. I doubt he’s
actually SPONSORED anyone or built a downline in over
thirty-five years.

It’s easy to see why those following his teaching
struggle to succeed.

What is the VALUE of a college education, beyond
learning HOW to acquire knowledge?

College professors are adept at cultural
indoctrination. What, if any, PRACTICAL experience can
they pass on to their students?

These folks produce MBA’s who advise company owners on
the benefits of the MLM business model - i.e., how to
make a profit on the backs of distributors.

It’s evident why so many of these companies fail within
a few years - no PRACTICAL experience in the trenches.

I believe APPRENTICESHIP is the best way to acquire
Specialized Knowledge. I can learn what methods work
TODAY from people who are doing it TODAY.

If I want to achieve top ranking in the search engines,
then I can Apprentice with Don Standard, Richard Dennis
and others within Mentoring For Free who are doing it
TODAY.

I can learn every aspect of Network Marketing from
experts within Mentoring For Free who are doing it and
achieving results TODAY.

Apprenticeship involves putting Specialized Knowledge
into Practical APPLICATION - not merely studying stuff,
but DOING stuff.

The really cool thing about being an Apprentice is I
can EARN while I learn - TODAY!

Network Marketing is REALLY all about and for being
AUTHORITIES, not merely authors.

CHAPTER 3 - FAITH
Visualization Of And Belief In Attainment Of Desire

It’s okay to plagiarize oneself:

FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things EXPECTED, the EVIDENCE
of things NOT SEEN.

To VISUALIZE means to form a mental image, colored with
all five senses.

FAITH is an elixir, when blended with the vibration of
thought, the subconscious mind translates the thought
into its SPIRITUAL equivalent and transmits it to
Infinite Higher Intelligence - as in PRAYER.

HOPE is the EXPECTANCY which establishes positive
emotion and corresponding action. The Law of Belief
states: “What a person believes in their heart with
conviction becomes their reality.”

“Be careful what you pray for.” When folks BELIEVE they
are doomed, and the conviction is mixed with the
emotion of FEAR, automatic “prayers” are generated to
bring about the EXPECTED reality of poverty and misery.

A great propagandist of the 20th century said if You
repeat a lie often enough, people will BELIEVE it to be
TRUE.

Millions of people are starving for leaders to show the
way out of this cycle of doom and gloom. They are not
finding those leaders in Washington, D.C. or anywhere
else.

The timing is PERFECT for our industry with Mentoring
For Free leading the way like a bright shining beacon
of TRUTH and HOPE.

Michael Dlouhy is a VISIONARY who seeks to raise the
industry of Network Marketing up to what it could and
SHOULD be.

I share his VISION of shifting the paradigm of our
culture back on the course charted by such leaders as
Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin
Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald
Reagan.

A culture of rugged independence, where INDIVIDUALS,
not institutions, can achieve whatever they CHOOSE to
accomplish.

Michael and Linda attracted a rag-tag group of folks
who had been burnt-out, chewed-up, spit-out - and
transformed them, by lending them their BELIEF and
HOPE, into the most dynamic team of leaders this
industry has ever known.

It reminds me of the poem by Emma Lazarus, inspired by
the arrival of “Liberty Enlightening The World”,
a.k.a. The Statue of Liberty:

THE NEW COLOSSUS
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land,
Here at our sea-washed, sunset- gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome, her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin-cities frame.

“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she,
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore;
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

CHAPTER 2 - DESIRE
The Starting Point Of All Achievement

DREAMS are the seedlings of REALITY. PRACTICAL Dreamers
put dreams into ACTION.

INTENSE DESIRE, backed by ENDURING FAITH, overrides the
False Reality of Fear, and unlocks the doorway to
boundless opportunity.

The Greatest Economic Recovery of this century is
waiting in the wings, ready to take center stage. As
during the Great Depression, this world is starving for
leaders to show the way.

I’m ready to take my place at the Roundtable of the
Knights of the Economic Revolution.

The New Economic Age will celebrate the individual
producers, and place them above all other
considerations - companies, unions, political
entities.

The Network Marketing Industry is the perfect vehicle
to usher in the new age, with Mentoring For Free as its
guiding beacon.

My purpose is to be one of the leaders, in both
Mentoring For Free and my business Team.

My personal desire is to relocate to a new home in
Central Florida, with a new motor vehicle, where I will
collaborate with my closest allies. I will achieve this
move by or before December 4, 2009.

To achieve my goals I will render honorable service to
my Team as website coordinator, and as a teacher and
trainer. I will also share my company’s products with
those who will benefit from their use and help at least
five leaders in my group achieve full-time income.

I have bigger dreams and goals which I will not share
here at this time.

Thoughts become words, words become actions, actions
become habits, habits become character, character
becomes destiny.

With enduring FAITH, I embrace my DESTINY, knowing I
am never alone. YOU are with me - my Lord, my dear
friends Michael, Linda, and Sarah Anne, and my most
Wonderful Team.

CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION

I’m launching my fifth round through this book today,
studying and growing with this Mastermind.

I’ve learned to keep the entire book in mind as I study
each chapter - all chapters are parts of the whole
philosophy.

Dr. Hill admonishes us to read through his book at
least twice - and recommends doing it with a Study
Group.

The first and last chapters of TGR function as
bookends, they connect to each other and bring the
entire philosophy full-circle.

After spending more than two weeks studying FEAR with
Chapter 15, I see the stories in Chapter 1 are about
folks who overcame and eradicated all Fear.

Barnes, with no funds, train-hitched to Orange, NJ to
seek a partnership with Edison.

In today’s world, I equate it with a penniless someone
hitch-hiking to Atlantic City to seek a partnership
with Donald Trump. Most would tremble in fear at the
mere thought of the intimidation one would feel facing
the imposing Trump.

Barnes succeeded because he was driven by a BURNING
DESIRE to ACHIEVE his DEFINITE PURPOSE. He had no room
in his mind for Fear.

The small girl conquered Darby’s uncle because he could
sense NO FEAR from her, his attempts at intimidation
has NO EFFECT on her - so DETERMINED was she to get
what she came for.

Again, I imagine a small child from the inner-city
approaching Donald Trump in his office, facing him down
and demanding money for her mom.

I admire Trump, a man who lost most of his fortune and
built an even larger empire. His DETERMINATION
obviously left NO ROOM for fear in his THINKING.
Perhaps it is why his CONFIDENCE makes him appear
intimidating.

I have a CHOICE: Hold onto the HABITS of my enemies -
Fear, Lack, Failure Thinking…

Or embrace the HABITS of my friends - CONFIDENCE,
ABUNDANT, SUCCESS Thinking.

All Habits are equal, and one set REPLACES the other.
Both cannot co-exist.

It begins with knowing EXACTLY what I want, and
developing a BURNING DESIRE to ACHIEVE it.

I’m sticking with my FRIENDS, I have no room for my
enemies.

I want to share with you this timely lesson I learned from reading Chapter 15 of “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Every Wednesday, as part of Mentoring For FREE, our MasterMind group meets to share and discuss our thoughts after reading a chapter of the book.

CHAPTER 15 - HOW TO OUTWIT THE SIX GHOSTS OF FEAR

This is a disturbing chapter. After showing us the 13
Steps to develop FAITH and mastery of the Art of Prayer,
Dr. Hill presents to us the enemies, the shatterers of
dreams…the Six Ghosts of Fear.

It is encouraging to note, he refers to them as”Ghosts”
having no REAL substance. They are nothing more than
States of Mind; and he details how to master them.

If the 13 Steps were crops in a garden, then INDECISION
and DOUBT would be the seedlings of the weeds of FEAR
- weeds capable of choking out the production of the 13
positive crops.

DOUBT is the enemy of FAITH, and a powerful one. It
may only require Faith the size of a mustard seed to
cast the mountain into the sea, but a tiny, microbe-
sized bit of doubt will prevent it.

The problem is, combating these fears with conscious
intellect alone may not suffice. The fears may be
rooted deep within the subconscious, which is as
dumb as a box of rocks.

The subconscious mind acts upon programming, regard
less of its source. The merchants of fear in commerce,
media, and government all employ fear as their primary
weapon to market their wares.

This is why the Mental Cleanse instructions tell us
to turn off all the sources of the bad programming.

I know some of these ghost weeds are roaming freely
in my subconscious, because I outwardly exhibit some
of the symptoms.

My conscious intellect tells me these weeds are
irrational phantoms, yet they live on anyway.

I recognize, as a human, I am susceptible to negative
influences -  and I CHOOSE to protect myself from
these through my WILL-POWER.

I must employ positive SELF-TALK and association
with my MASTERMIND as a 24/7 weed-whacker.

I am not alone in this battle - I have YOU with me
on my side. How can I possibly fail?

CHAPTER 14 - THE SIXTH SENSE
The Door To The Temple Of Wisdom

All creatures possess physical senses in degrees suited to their natures. Human nature, with its strongest attribute being the BRAIN, requires an INTANGIBLE sense - one capable of dealing directly with THOUGHT.

My five physical senses bring me knowledge through observation and experience. My Sixth Sense brings me knowledge through Inspiration and Creative Imagination.

I cannot describe how it feels to receive information this way. By mastering the other principles in this book, the sixth sense may be activated and experienced.

Starting with a clear, definite purpose, then developing a burning desire to fuel positive emotions - Sex, Faith, Love, Hope - to ramp up the brain to vibrate at a higher frequency, enough to receive information through the sixth sense.

Often I get a hunch to call a particular person, visit a certain website, or similar intuition. I may not know why or what will happen, but by following the inspiration - something usually does.

I believe these hunches led me to MFF - the answer to questions I had been asking for years. I also believe they are leading the members of my team to me and MFF.

Throughout the more than ten years since this Mastermind Group was founded, some members have left the table… While new members come to sit weekly.

Not all members participate at the same levels, and I believe many bring their “Invisible Counselors” to the table with them.

I believe this Mastermind has become an eternal FORCE, comprised of the minds of all its members past, present, and future - and beyond.

I believe its WISDOM has no limits, and its influence will grow to impact the entire world. Dr. Hill should be thrilled!

Chapter 13 - THE BRAIN
A Broadcasting and Receiving Station for Thought

Just in case I was thinking all this “Power of the
Mind” stuff was all smoke and mirrors, Dr. Hill
enlightens me about the intricate organ housing
the human mind - the BRAIN.

The human brain’s complexity is dazzling. An
astronomical quantity of circuitry, much more
nerve structure than any other animal has or needs.

Fish are naturally equipped to traverse the oceans’
depths, birds to navigate the skies, cheetahs to
race rapidly across land.

Humans are equipped to do none of the above
naturally,,,, but we do them ALL better than the
above creatures. We are naturally equipped with
our BRAINS -organs capable of manifesting limit
less travel, even beyond the confines of our planet.

So what is this product our human brains produce?
THOUGHT - some kind of FORCE.

Our brains are electrical, but the voltage is so
low only the most sensitive  instruments can
measure it. This miniscule energy cannot explain
the POWER demonstrated three weeks ago as
we discussed Chapter 10.

THOUGHT is an INTANGIBLE FORCE… We can
no more measure it with instruments than we can
use those to detect the presence of God.

Made in the image of our Creator, we share this
Intangible Force.

Though he did not write a religious book, Dr. Hill
came closer to explaining the nature of Prayer
more than any other I’ve read.

The Transmission of THOUGHT/PRAYER: The
SUBCONSCIOUS is the Broadcaster; AUTO-
SUGGESTION formats the Message; EMOTION
is the Generator - the most powerful of which is
SEX TRANSMUTATION.

The Receiving Station is CREATIVE IMAGINATION -
where the answers to Prayers are received.

The previous chapters explored each of the elements
in depth, elements Imust master to compel my brain
to perform what it was designed by my Creator to do -
THINK and Grow Rich.

Thanks to Michael and Linda and this amazing
Mastermind Group they founded, my understanding
is Richer every day. I believe there is no limit to where
we can go tomorrow.

Chapter 12 - THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
The Connecting Link

My Subconscious Mind stores everything it receives from
my physical senses and other sources - filing stuff away,
and forgetting nothing…I am in complete control of the
physical input - I CHOOSE what to watch, listen to, who
to associate with, etc.

My  Subconscious is like a leviathan machine below the
surface of awareness, working relentlessly 24/7 on the
DOMINANT thoughts fed by my Conscious.

My Conscious Mind is like the small tugboat piloting the
giant through the harbor of life. If I don’t control its
programming, it will work with whatever random junk it
encounters - and I’ll end up beached.

It is the Luck Machine - for good or evil. Working with
its programming, it seems to find the times and places
to be, the words to say, etc.

It is the field of consciousness which links to other
minds and spirits.

Dr. Hill gives the example of radio - human voices
ramped-up to an  electromagnetic  energy level where
they can be transmitted across space, and then ramped
back down by the receiver so the human can understand
the voices.

Human THOUGHT is similarly ramped-up by strong
emotions and the resulting ENERGY is stronger
than any radio wave.

Just as radio waves pass through me (whether or not
my radio is tuned in), THOUGHT waves travel through
me in like fashion.

I MUST learn how to tune these in or out selectively.
The earlier chapters point the way.

I CHOOSE to send out POSITIVE THOUGHTS about the
DEFINED PURPOSE of my DESIRE……… I MUST NOT
succumb to the negative energy trying to invite me
onto a chaos ride.

FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things EXPECTED, the
EVIDENCE of things NOT SEEN.

AUTO-SUGGESTION is the tuning knob of the broad
casting and receiving station of the mind.

TRANSMUTATION is the redirection of emotion to
ramp-up the ENERGY.

DECISIVENESS and PERSISTENCE are the keys to
cultivating BELIEF.

CHAPTER 11 - THE MYSTERY OF SEX TRANSMUTATION

Perhaps it’s a mystery because so few have learned to
harness it. This chapter seems to present the greatest
challenge to many.

We are talking about the EMOTION of sex here, not the
physical act.

Highly sexed people have a certain magnetic energy
about them. Some have used the ENERGY to help propel
them into holding public office.

The DESIRE for sexual contact is so strong, the energy
MUST find an outlet. Many office holders have disgraced
themselves by carelessly allowing the physical act of
sex to become the outlet for their energy.

TRANSMUTATION is the CHANGING of one form of energy
into another, or REDIRECTING energy - similar to re-
directing inter-net traffic.

Dr. Hill teaches us what happens when we redirect the
energy of sexual desire from the physical body to the
thinking mind.

We stimulate our minds to reach higher levels of con-
sciousness - communicating with Infinite Intelligence
and other minds - thus inducing CREATIVE GENIUS.

The mind responds to stimuli, causing thoughts to ramp
up to higher level of vibration - enabling creative
imagination, inspiration, intense desire, uncommon
persistence, etc.

Of the ten strongest mind stimuli DESIRE FOR SEX
EXPRESSION is the strongest, followed closely by
LOVE, the BURNING DESIRE for GAIN, MUSIC, and FRIEND
SHIP. Then are the Harmonious Mastermind, Mutual
Suffering and Auto-Suggestion.

The least of the ten are FEAR the artificial chemical
stimulus reached through alcohol and drugs. These
foreign chemicals are not as potent as the chemicals
produced by our bodies when stimulated by our own
emotions. Moreover, these stimuli are destructive to
the physical body and mind.

Immature creative persons tend to misapply these
stimuli-misdirecting their sex desires or succumbing
to the habit of drugs as a shortcut to higher consc-
iousness.

Humans, by nature, are driven to impress and please
the persons who are the focus of their desires. The
sex emotion, by itself, can propel people to achieve
greatness.

Stimuli can be combined for greater effect. But the
combination of the emotions of sex and jealousy - a
subset of FEAR - can lead to destruction.

More potent is the SPIRITUAL emotion of LOVE. The
combination of SEX, LOVE, and ROMANCE generates the
most superior stimulus. Moreover, it is a balanced,
harmonious stimulus - prone to creation.

I can also TRANSMUTE negative thought into POSITIVE
thought. All thoughts and habits being equal, one
cancels out the other.

The subconscious mind knows not the difference and
will act on whatever I feed it.

I CHOOSE the HABIT of feeding it positive thoughts.
When a negative thought enters my conscious mind,
the easiest way for me to cancel it is to focus on
Auto-Suggestion - SELF-TALK, or memories of Love -
PERFECT MOMENTS.
